Science 83 Reunions

October 8, 2023

Dear Science 83 Classmates,

Happy Thanksgiving to all and thanks so much to the 150 classmates and guests who made our 40th Homecoming weekend a blast! This email is to provide you with links to photos and contact information and to ask you to complete a survey to provide feedback so that the 45th Reunion is even better.

The survey is found here and is for all classmates, even if you didn't attend. Thanks for taking the time to provide your input.

Some of you asked for a copy of the slide show that was shown during the Sunday Brunch.  You can find it on our YouTube channel here. The class photos taken during the weekend and the drone photos at Summerhill can be viewed here.

Some folks have posted photos on Facebook (thanks all) and we are looking to save those photos and others on our Science '83 drive to be used for future events.  Please use this link to submit your photos (even if you already posted them to the Facebook Group) to be saved for posterity and potential embarrassment.

Our Saturday evening event at the BluMartini featured some Queen's student volunteers speaking about the importance of suicide prevention initiatives.  Just over $2,000 has been raised so far in support of Jack.org. The donation page will be kept open until the end of October, so please consider making a contribution. Thanks so much for your support.

Thanks also to those who contributed and covered the last-minute increase in Sunday breakfast costs. Much appreciated! Any further contributions can be directed to a class fund.

Class Funds

The Mark Latham Memorial Fund is set up as the official Science '83 Class Fund and there are a number of additional funds and scholarships associated with our class. Thanks to those who made donations when registering for the reunion. It’s not too late to make a donation before the end of the tax year!

The following funds have individual information and donation portal pages:

The following funds can be selected from the https://www.givetoqueens.ca/ website.
